Description

Under the general supervision of the Principal and Custodial Supervisor, and the immediate guidance of the Head Custodian, the Custodian provides custodial services at an assigned site; ensures an attractive, sanitary, and safe environment for students, staff and visitors; performs a variety of special cleaning operations; and assists in preparing facilities for classroom activities and campus events.

The incumbents in this classification provide the school community with custodial services to ensure an attractive, sanitary, and safe environment which directly supports student learning and achievement

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Six (6) months of performing a variety of cleaning operations.

LICENSE(S) REQUIRED:

CERTIFICATIONS AND TESTING REQUIRED:

Pre-employment physical exam (C) through District's provider at District's expense Enrollment in the Department of Motor Vehicles employer Pull Notice Program and submission of a current DMV driving record printout within six months of employment

SALARY SCHEDULE:

Classified Salary Range: 20

Work Calendar: 261 Days

Work Hours: 8 hours/day

The examination process will include screening to ensure applications are complete and meet all minimum qualifications. The application requires the completion of a Supplemental Questionnaire to evaluate the applicant's training and experience relative to the required knowledge and abilities for the position. No additional information will be accepted from applicants once the application has been submitted. Only the most qualified applicants who pass the minimum qualifications review will be invited to the examination process.

The examination process will include a performance exam (100% weight). Those candidates achieving a passing overall score of 70% out of 100% on the exam will be placed on the Eligibility List, and the top three (3) ranks will be forwarded to the hiring authority for final interview and selection. The Eligibility List is valid for one (1) year from the certified date. This Eligibility list will be used to fill all future Custodian positions.
