Description

The Parks, Recreation, and Special Events Department has an immediate opening for one Part-Time Event Attendant. If you would like to be a part of the team that assists the public at the city’s First Monday Trade Days and other events, we would like to hear from you!

Job responsibilities include:

• Assists the department with our public events such as the First Monday Trade Days or other special events held at Heritage Park or at any of our other venues.
  
• Represents the City at our outdoor events with guiding visitors and citizens to parking areas or general directions at our events with courtesy and professionalism.
  
• Assists in the enforcement of City Health and Safety Codes.
  
• Handles financial transactions, generates receipts, and maintains accurate records during events.
  

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Special Requirements

THIS POSITION IS PART TIME AND IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR ANY CITY BENEFITS. THE HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE GENERALLY 20 PER WEEK. TYPICAL WORKDAYS FOR THIS POSITION WILL VARY AND MAY INCLUDE NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS. SCHEDULING WILL BE BASED UPON DEPARTMENT NEED AND SCHEDULED EVENTS. Conditions for Employment: Candidates who do not meet the Education requirement may be considered if they have more relevant work experience than the position requires. Candidates selected for employment will be required to pass pre-employment checks depending on the position requirements. Those pre-employment checks could include, but not limited to criminal background check, drug screen, education verification, etc. Criminal convictions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
