SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Utility Customer Service Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of utility billing, cashiering, and customer service functions. The position serves as a primary point of contact for utility customers, providing information, resolving concerns, and processing service requests in a professional and timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. Regular attendance and the ability to perform all duties in the designated work environment are also considered essential functions of this position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent; AND two years of experience in general staff support; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Customer service experience preferred.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION:

May require possession of a valid Texas driver’s license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
