Position DescriptionPosition is to be worked on-site, in Lubbock, TXThe Programmer Analyst III's role is to develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications in support of business requirements. This position will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle. Additionally, the Programmer Analyst III is also responsible for supervising and/or leading the development of new systems, directing changes to existing systems, controlling the interfaces between the systems, initiating complex feasibility studies, and making recommendations for actions to be taken.
Major/Essential Functions- Determines business requirements and define application solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Develops and support enterprise web applications across the entire software development lifecycle according to departmental standards and practices.
- Performs complex data analysis, querying, and troubleshooting
- Builds cross-functional relationships with internal customers across the institution
- Utilizes proactive, clear and professional communication
- Performs other duties and completes other projects as assigned
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area plus three (3) years related full-time paid experience OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal seven (7) years. Applicants for this position will be subject to a criminal background check after a conditional offer of employment has been extended, but before employment can be confirmed.
In accordance with Texas Executive Order GA-48 and applicable state or federal law, this position may involve access to, work on, or conduct research involving critical infrastructure.
