Job Summary

Do you have broad experience with team sports and their management? Do you have a passion for sports and want to contribute to the experience of Olathe citizens in sport? The City of Olathe offers a diverse sports program providing team activity opportunities for ages ranging from 2 ½ to over 70! We are looking for a qualified individual to manage staff, officials, and contracts as well as oversee sports leagues, events and more. If you would like to merge your management skills with your knowledge and love of sports, this may be the perfect position for you!

The Recreation Program Manager I is responsible for managing and supervising assigned recreation program areas and events for the Parks & Recreation Department.

Key Responsibilities


Qualifications

Experience: Two years of increasingly responsible experience in recreation programming is required. Administrative and supervisory experience is preferred.

Education: A b achelor's degree with major course work in Recreation Administration, Leisure Services, or a related field is preferred.

Licenses & Certifications: A valid driver's license with favorable driving record is required. Specific certifications and licenses relevant to program area responsibilities may be required.
