Senior Administrative Analyst. This position is an integral part of the Agency's fiscal and administrative team who supports 7 departments and over 16 programs responsible for budget preparation, fiscal oversight, contract administration and monitoring, grant fiscal management, and special projects and studies!
This is an advanced-level position where individuals, with little direct supervision, provide technical assistance with fiscal, budgetary, and policy issues. Furthermore, individuals are expected to be knowledgeable in and be able to perform the full range of analytical duties in the office as required. More importantly, they serve as a resource for other office personnel. Major duties include:
- Manage several department budgets including budget development and accurate accounting of revenues and expenses for a broad array of programs and funding sources.
- Perform technical financial or statistical record keeping and auditing of financial records and operations
- Work with internal and external auditors to ensure State and Federal regulations are adhered and all accounts are maintained appropriately
- Prepare and present reports, resolutions, and ordinances
- Prepare requests for proposals, contracts, and agreements
- Serve as an internal management investigator, researching and analyzing facts and preparing recommendations for assigned projects
- Review and analyze government operations and recommend changes
- Prepare comprehensive written reports, answers questions from the public
- Supervise technical and support staff and assist in directing various divisions within a department
This position is crafted for individuals who have a Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, economics or a related field, and a minimum of 3 years of experience comparable to Nevada County's classification of Administrative Analyst II. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted based on two years of experience for each year of education. If you have skills in communicating tactfully and effectively with County staff, elected officials and members of the public, that's a plus!
