The Department of Community Development and Housing (CDH) is recruiting for a Deputy Director who will serve as a senior-level professional responsible for supporting the planning, development, and implementation of affordable and mixed-income housing projects. This position plays a critical role in advancing the organization's mission to increase housing opportunities and strengthen communities through strategic development initiatives, partnership building, and program management.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT


Pre-Employment Process:

Travel throughout the County may be required and employees will be required to make provisions for such transportation.

* Salary increases contingent upon Property Related Revenue and/or statewide 2011 Realignment Sales Tax Collections performance.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Real Estate Development, Finance, or related field. A master’s degree in any of these areas is preferred.
Experience: Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in affordable housing development, real estate development, or community development, with at least three (3) years in a full-scope supervisory or senior management role.
