ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Departmental Systems Administrator (VMWare Administrator) position. This position will be primarily responsible for:
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining VMWare virtual environments, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting issues.
- Configuring and maintaining network storage solutions, ensuring data integrity and availability while monitoring storage capacity.
- Managing backup solutions, scheduling regular backups, verifying integrity, and executing recovery procedures.
- Administering Microsoft 365 services, managing users, allocating licenses, and troubleshooting any issues.
- Implementing security measures, monitoring for vulnerabilities, and ensuring adherence to District security standards.
- Continuously monitoring system performance, tracking metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing resource utilization.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field and four (4) years of full-time professional level experience in systems analysis and design and hardware and software acquisition in a departmental environment, including some lead or supervisory experience. Additional experience in systems analysis and/or programming may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two (2) years. An advanced degree in appropriate field preferred. Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application. Licensing and Certification: Specified positions may require a valid Nevada Class C Driver's License at time of appointment depending upon the department assigned and the number of work sites for which the individual is responsible.
