Senior Accounts Assistant (Fiscal Review Team) *Typical working hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.*
Job Location: This position is domiciled at Central Missouri Regional Office (900 West Nifong Boulevard, Suite 200, Columbia, MO 65203)

Role Description This is an advanced vocational position accountable for maintaining specialized accounting record systems including resolving errors, balancing accounts and records, and preparing reports. Employees also help accounting staff solve technical issues. At this level, employees monitor and provide information about a variety of fiscal areas and analyze transactions to determine if complete accounting entries are accurate. Incumbents are also accountable for reviewing and processing complicated or contested transactions.
Key Skill This position is responsible for annual reviews and oversight of service providers that do residential services for consumers we are Rep Payee for. This is done in accordance with Division directives and Social Security Guidelines.
What you’ll do Senior Accounts Assistant • Complete Administrative Logging and Time and Leave submissions in a timely manner
• Complete all required training as mandated by HR and/or Business Office leadership
• Attend All Staff meetings for the Regional Office where position is physically located
• Communicate clearly, professionally and appropriately to all internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner presenting as one state department.
• Manage time appropriately to ensure project deadlines are met and tasks are prioritized by need.
• Monitor team mailbox
• Complete all job duties assigned to the specific position
• Identify and escalate issues as they arise
• Aid in training of new staff
• Serve as resource for peers seeking assistance
• Other duties as assigned
• Follow all CSRs, DORs and other agency approved regulations
Fiscal Review-Job Duties • Per division directive 5.070 all providers that support individuals that we are rep payee for will get an annual review. In the annual review, room and board expenses are verified as well as the individuals personal spending. 3-4 reviews will be done per month.
• Must be adept at report writing, data collection and analyzation, Excel and Word.
• Quarterly oversight of spending ledgers for consumers sent by Providers. This entails receiving, e-filing and reviewing each ledger which outlines the personal spending of the consumer to ensure compliance with directive 5.070 and social security guidelines.
• Follow up and reporting of any findings to the Provider and our Regional Office exec team and entering findings into our IQMFD system.
• You will also be asked to help with other Duties and Projects as assigned or requested by Supervisor/Team.
Minimum Qualifications 3-5 years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed).
