The Elections Division of the Jefferson County Clerk & Recorder department is looking for a Technical Support Technician to join the team! The ideal Technical Support Technician candidate will be a values-driven professional with a desire to set the bar for great election administration. He or she must be innovative and data-driven, must be relentlessly detail oriented, and must come to work every day thinking about how to defend the integrity of our elections and make the democratic process even more accessible to the people of Jefferson County. The candidate must also have the proven ability to move between diverse tasks with ease, must thrive in a high-stress, high-scrutiny environment, and must have the ability to allocate tasks and lead a team in preparing for the election and troubleshooting technical issues .

SCHEDULE:

This position requires in-office work on our four-day work schedule (Monday-Thursday , 7am-5:30pm). During active elections, the schedule will adjust to a five-day workweek to ensure the needs of the business office are met.

Please note that this position will require work on Fridays, evenings, and weekends surrounding our elections, including mandatory overtime .

COMPENSATION:

Hiring Range: $25-$31 USD Hourly

Compensation will be determined based on education, experience and skills.

Additional compensation for Spanish bilingual skills is available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The Technical Support Technician plays a critical role in supporting and maintaining the technology infrastructure of the Elections Division within the Jefferson County Clerk & Recorder’s Office. This position is responsible for planning, administering, and executing specialized technical and administrative tasks that ensure secure, efficient, and accurate election operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: High School Diploma or GED

Education: One years related work experience
