Position DescriptionThis position will employ an individual with effective oral and written communication skills; good time management skills; the ability to meet specific deadlines and excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. The ability to produce and organize training and other media materials providing communication regarding Business Affairs policies and procedures. Analytical skills to facilitate decisions regarding financial systems data. Effective management and supervisor skills; assisting with managing complex area's and has oversight responsibilities.
Major/Essential FunctionsThis position will employ an individual with effective oral and written communication skills; good time management skills; the ability to meet specific deadlines and excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. The ability to produce and organize training and other media materials providing communication regarding Business Affairs policies and procedures. Analytical skills to facilitate decisions regarding financial systems data. Effective management and supervisor skills.
- Works proactively with and under the direction of the Managing Director of Finance Systems Management (FSM) to perform functions of FSM, including but not limited to, monitoring and maintaining the Finance module of the institution's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and related systems.
- Maintains Chart of Accounts structure including hierarchy and consistency in data elements.
- Manages Financial Systems security.
- Assists with day-to-day problem resolution and end user departmental support.
- Supports Business Affairs departments with internal functions related to Banner and satellite financial systems.
- Reviews and analyzes daily system assurance reports to maintain data integrity.
- Collaborates with IS and Application Development on projects related to Banner finance and other satellite financial systems.
- Provides system admin support and troubleshooting for the effort reporting system (ecc).
- Recommends, develops and implements process improvements.
- Assists with various accounting and finance system implementations.
- Supervises personnel.
- Performs other duties and completes other projects as assigned.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field and five years of technical or management experience OR a combination of education and/or years of technical or management experience to equal a minimum of 9 years.
