Salary : $2,187.48 semi-monthly

(The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. Years of service adjustments, shift differentials, and other targeted salary payments are applied to the total compensation of your paycheck and are subject to eligibility requirements of the appropriate differential.)

South County Habilitation Center currently has an opening for a Support Care Professional. This position will mainly work Monday - Friday, with Sunday, Saturday, and Holidays off. The regular hours are 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. however, schedule flexibility is necessary.

Job Duties:

This is a professional-level position accountable for developing, implementing, and monitoring habilitation programs and positive behavior supports for clients with developmental disabilities. With an interdisciplinary treatment team, you will assist in developing support strategies, observe behavior, provide training and implement, monitor and review individualized habilitation plans . You will supervise and monitor the work of direct care staff and evaluate the progress of your clients. The successful candidate must be able to physically perform all Safety Care requirements.

Eligibility Requirement: Per CMS Guidelines §483.430 to meet Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP), you will need one year of experience providing services to a person with intellectual disabilities and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Recreation, or Human Services (sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology).

Current DMH employees will not be eligible to apply if they have received a disciplinary action within the last 6 months.
