Job Location: Regional Counsel Office, Southeast District, 2675 North Main Street, Sikeston, MissouriWhy you’ll love this position: The executive assistant performs standard, advanced and confidential secretarial duties requiring broad experience, skill and knowledge of department policies and practices for a department executive. Responsibilities are performed under general supervision.
What you’ll do: - Manage and maintain calendars, schedule meetings, gather files and related materials in preparation of meetings, and make travel arrangements.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and greet office visitors, determine whether visitors should be given access to specific individuals, and evaluate requests and routes inquiries to the appropriate department personnel.
- Type and format complex forms, letters, reports, and other materials, usually requiring familiarity with specialized terminology. Proper spelling, grammar, and formatting are expected.
- Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance, plan their distribution, and prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries.
- Establish and maintain paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other material.
All you need for success: Minimum Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED/HiSET
- Four years of progressively responsible experience in office assistant or secretarial positions.
