Position DescriptionSupports the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program.
Major/Essential FunctionsThe Department of Family and Community Medicine is committed to providing high-quality medical care for individuals of all ages. The Program Coordinator will contribute to our mission by:
- Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards for Family Medicine Residency and Fellowship programs, including Sports Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Care and Geriatrics.
- Creating and maintaining clinic schedules for over 40 residents and fellows.
- Creating and maintaining resident on-call schedules using scheduling software.
- Communicate effectively with faculty, clinic staff, residents, and fellows about schedule changes to ensure minimal patient impact.
- Prepare and deliver standing and ad hoc reports to track critical information.
- Planning and scheduling weekly Resident didactics conferences.
- Participating in and contributing positively to Administrative Team activities such as huddles and team meetings.
A successful Program Coordinator will demonstrate competency in big picture thinking, detail focus, reliability, effective communication and problem solving/decision making.

Required QualificationsHigh school plus six years experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
