Position Overview*This recruitment is limited to the first 250 applications received and will close to the public without notice while still accepting applications from internal employees.The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Human Resources Technician within the Classification and Compensation Division of the City's Department of Human Resources. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, provides clerical, technical, and administrative support in one or more functional areas of Human Resources; provides customer service and assistance to City employees and the general public; and performs related duties as assigned.

In this role, you will assist with administrative processes, data analysis, and project management. The ideal candidate will need the ability to work independently, be innovative, have strong organizational skills, multi-task, and quickly shift gears in a collaborative, high-pace and stressful environment.
Position Information:
- The standard schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 5:30pm (4 day work week)
- This position may be eligible for remote work up to two days per week upon completion of initial probationary period; at least 50% of work time must be spent in-person onsite.

Minimum Qualifications- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Three (3) years of full-time equivalent office administrative and customer service experience
- Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered
- Sufficient keyboarding skills of 35 net words per minute
- Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check
- Must complete Security Awareness and National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS) certification within six months of hire/transfer and be recertified every two years. Must maintain certifications in NCIC/NCJIS as a condition of continued employment
- Desirable: Prior experience in Human Resources
