We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to join the Resource Management Agency's executive leadership team as the Code Compliance Division Director. The ideal candidate will have a mix of pertinent experience, professional judgment, and discretion that comes from years of experience in the conduct of public sector programs. They will have technical knowledge gained from direct experience in code compliance responsibilities and related work in land use planning, building and safety, and/or other regulatory oversight. They will also be self-motivated, adaptable, organized and efficient, with outstanding interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Balancing interests and following industry protocols that ensure fair treatment and due process requirements are important as is embracing a problem-solving, action-oriented approach to code compliance.

here . PAYROLL TITLE/APPROXIMATE SALARIES:Deputy Director I RMA: $134,900.79 - $188,879.61 annually
Deputy Director II RMA: $152,876.86- $214,048.57 annually
The Code Compliance Director is an at-will classification that is exempt from the provisions of the Civil Service Ordinance. The incumbent will receive Management benefits at the MB2 level and is exempt from overtime compensation.

- Managing proactive and reactive code enforcement programs including rental housing inspection, short-term rental programs and nuisance abatement
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to resolve multifaceted enforcement activities such as sidewalk vending, encroachment on public property, and outdoor events
- Working with executives, legal representatives, and elected officials, including making presentations to various stakeholder groups
- Leading teams to improve efficiencies that balance due process with enhanced responsiveness

Resume Evaluation: A first review of resumes will commence on
September 8, 2025. All relevant work experience, training, and education must be included to determine eligibility.
Interview Process: Following a structured evaluation of the resumes, the most qualified candidates will be invited to a panel interview. The top candidates, as determined by the panel, will then be invited to a second interview with RMA executive management. The interviews may be consolidated into one process or expanded into multiple interviews contingent upon the size and quality of the candidate pool.
Background Investigation: The selected candidate may be subjected to a thorough background investigation which may include inquiry into past employment, education, criminal background information, and driving record. In addition, the successful candidate may be subjected to Live Scan fingerprinting.
