Pay Range: $75,397 - $85,232 annual compensation

Workdays & Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm; Some evening/weekend work required.

A Property & Causality Adjuster ll job is available with the City of Fort Worth Human Resources Department.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration, human resources or related field
- Three (3) years of increasingly responsible administrative and fiscal management experience in property & causality adjustment
- Possession of and the ability to maintain a valid Texas Adjuster License.
- Possession of and the ability to maintain a valid Texas driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications: - One (1+) years handling bodily injury or auto liability claims
- One (1) year handling litigated or attorney-represented claims.
- Possession of adjuster designations such as AIC, CPCU, or AINS is preferred
The Property & Causality Adjuster ll job responsibilities include: - Claims Investigation & Evaluation
- Investigate and assess facts, damages, and liability for assigned claims.
- Apply Texas Tort Claims Act, tort law, contractual provisions, and relevant statutes to determine coverage and resolve claims.
- Establish, adjust, and justify reserves based on estimated potential liability.
- Claims Handling & Settlement
- Negotiate claim settlements with claimants, vendors, attorneys, or other involved parties within delegated authority.
- Prepare and authorize payments or denials in accordance with city and regulatory guidelines.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain complete, accurate, and clear claim files, including investigation notes, correspondence, reserves history, and settlement rationale.
- Produce detailed narrative reports outlining findings, legal basis, and recommendations for resolution.
- Subrogation & Recovery
- Identify subrogation opportunities and initiate recovery actions as appropriate.
- Collaboration & Referral
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Additional Duties
- Support training and mentoring of less experienced adjusters.
- Assist with catastrophe (CAT) response assignments as needed.
- Other related duties as assigned
