What You'll Do

As a vital part of our team, you'll play a leading role in recruiting top talent and ensuring an efficient hiring process. As a full-service organization, the City of Ventura offers the opportunity to work with candidates and hiring managers across diverse job sectors, including administrative, safety, and operational roles.

We use Workday Recruiting, and while experience with the system is a plus, what matters most is your ability to quickly learn new systems and help others feel comfortable using them. Whether through supporting candidates or training hiring managers, your adaptability and clear communication will be key to ensuring a smooth and positive experience. A proven track record of mastering new platforms and teaching others is what will make you successful in this role.

The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for recruiting and connecting with people. You should be tech-savvy, highly organized, and an expert at managing multiple candidates at various stages of the hiring pipeline.

We're seeking a professional with a background in public sector recruitment or a solid understanding of merit-based principles. We need a solution-oriented problem-solver who can anticipate the needs of both candidates and hiring managers.
