Hours of work- 7:30am-4:00pm, days off Saturday/Sunday with on call expectations

This is a highly responsible position that requires an individual with outstanding customer service skills, a strong record of adherence to safety and security measures, ability to learn and maintain knowledge of NFPA and life safety codes. This individual should be regarded as someone with a positive attitude and a willingness to be pro-active and solution minded regarding the performance of the Fire and Safety Department with a willingness to perform duties as required. They must embrace the mission/vision/values of the hospital and see themselves as an important team member of the community of FSH.

This position requires:

Ability to work continuous hours while standing, climbing on ladders, and the ability to lift and move heavy objects daily.

• Performing preventative maintenance of fire suppression/detection equipment; routine rounds of the living areas to identify concerns for safety and security of the clients, staff and visitors.

• Scheduling required inspections and working alongside outside contractors.

• Additionally, this individual will be expected to train staff and conduct drills, as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to use Microsoft Suite.

1-2 years of relevant experience. Have the following certificates: FEMA/SEMA 100,200,700,800.

This position may require travel for training to comply with TJC, NFPA and FEMA/SEMA objectives.
