Major Duties Under general supervision, the Senior Project Manager coordinates projects bridging CSUN with external and internal stakeholders, develops programs, budgets, builds key relationships, conducts research, analyzes data, and creates impactful communications aligned with CSUN’s and the Tseng College’s strategic goals.
- Coordinates projects that bridge between CSUN and external partners and audiences.
- Creates the program development and planning for some projects.
- Conducts and manages various research components of assigned projects.
- Performs basic data coding and data analysis to highlight trends and actionable insights.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in communications, project management, public relations, marketing, creative writing, journalism, public administration, or related field, required. Master’s degree or above is preferred.
- Demonstrated success with five or more years managing complex projects, particularly involving senior-level stakeholders, preferably within higher education or non-profit settings.
- Project management experience in higher education or a non-profit context, especially with grant management, is a plus. Demonstrated experience in stakeholder (donor, sponsor, member, partner, public) relations development and management is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities - Understanding of research design, data collection methods, and data analysis techniques. Ability to present research trends in a clear and concise manner through various communication modalities, including reports and presentations.
- Proven ability to build and maintain significant stakeholder relationships, demonstrating expertise in public relations and engagement with high-level external and internal contacts.
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods, data analysis, and the ability to present findings clearly and effectively through multiple communication channels.
- Extensive professional writing experience, with proficiency in grant writing, proposal development, and creating targeted marketing and communication materials.
- Demonstrated capability to collaborate and innovate effectively, showing strong judgement and adaptability across diverse professional contexts and stakeholders.

- Classification: Admin Analyst Specialist / 1038/ Grade 3
- The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $5537 - $7066 per month, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $5537 - $10,014 per month.
- HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday; may include evenings and weekends.
- This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
- The individual hired for this role will physically work on-campus in Northridge. This is not a telecommute position.
- The position is currently hybrid ( 3 days in office, 2 days remote); however, this is subject to change based on student and/or operational needs.
