The Missouri Department of Public Safety is seeking to fill a vacancy within the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC). The individual selected for this position will primarily coordinate the daily operations of the statewide automated victim notification system.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of modern data transfer/exchange methods between multiple agencies and strong customer services skills. The position will challenge the candidate to become keenly familiar with the internal structure of the system and the public usage of the system. The education, outreach and promotion expectations of the program will allow the candidate the opportunity to work collaboratively with other state agencies, law enforcement agencies and victims of crime.

Job Description:

• Develop, analyze, and interpret reports, spreadsheets, graphical displays and dashboards that provide insight into the development and effectiveness of the system.
• Engage with a variety of people involved in crime victim services, including victims, the general public, advocacy groups, law enforcement, other state agencies and various criminal justice groups.
• Work collaboratively with information technology partners associated with the system
• Schedule and provide training workshops and technical assistance both in person and virtually.
• Develop training materials and methods to evaluate the effectiveness of the system
• Provide end-user support for the system

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in Project Coordination/Support; or
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and
• At least two years’ of technical and/or professional experience in, change management, process or continuous improvement, or design thinking.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

The position requires the ability to:

• Strong collaboration skills with a willingness to accept new challenges and work as a team member
• Familiarity with the points in the criminal justice process in which a victim is afforded notification s
• Self-motivation to troubleshoot and address system issues
• Positively interact with a variety of people, including the general public, other state agencies and other members of the criminal justice system with varying levels of experience and knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and close attention to detail
• Ability to communicate well with individuals having varying levels of technical knowledge and backgrounds.
• Ability to handle restricted, confidential and time sensitive information in a professional manner and maintain the information as such.
• Possess excellent communication skills, to include proper and effective use of grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure.
• Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF. Experience with Tableau and/or ARC GIS is a plus.
• Ability to research topics with a high degree of resourcefulness.
• Ability to work on many tasks simultaneously, while maintaining good organizational skills.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

Salary:

$47,950.08-$52,950.00 per Year
