SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Wastewater Trainee position is a progressive experience position responsible for monitoring, maintain, and operating grounds, equipment, recording data, collecting samples, and system process control in compliance with regulatory agency guidelines. Must be willing to learn the Wastewater process in a timely manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent; The ability to obtain a Wastewater Treatment Operator “D” license from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TECQ) within 1 year of employment.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION:


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed both in an indoor and outdoor work environment. May be exposed to dangerous machinery, potential physical harm, hazardous chemicals and infectious diseases. May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The ability to lawfully respond to an emergency from residence within 30 minutes.
