A Veterinarian Technician position (Foster/Rescue Coordinator) is available with The City of Fort Worth Code Compliance department. This position will focus on assisting the shelter's animal fostering program and transfer partner network. Our Animal Care and Control department has hundreds of dedicated volunteers, fosters and partners who help the staff and animals with various tasks. Our foster and transfer programs continue to grow and we are seeking an individual who can help us continue to strengthen and expand these programs.

The selected individual must be an effective communicator who is able to demonstrate diplomacy, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills while working with a culturally and ethnically diverse staff, volunteer, and community base.

Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling and lifting.

Heavy Work - Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
