The Missouri Department of Mental Health, Division of Behavioral Health, seeks a Research/Data Analyst to join the Research and Statistics Unit team.
The base salary offered for this position is up to $65,669.76 annually, commensurate with education and experience. If the selected candidate is eligible for a pay differential, such as retention pay, the total salary may exceed what is listed in this posting.
The Research and Statistics unit is an integral part of the Division’s efforts to enable evidence-based review of programs and services provided by the Department of Mental Health and its community partners. Research Analysts within the Division utilize data and information gathered from multiple data collection systems and external data sources to report on behavioral health programs. Reporting duties may include: standardized federal report submissions; ad hoc reporting as requested by internal and external stakeholders; department, division, and program level dashboards; and annual budget related reporting. In addition to providing the final reporting products, this position will perform data extraction, statistical analysis, policy related decision support and consultation, and assist with data related to initiatives within the Division of Behavioral Health.
Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience and/or appropriate certification. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
The ideal candidate will be skilled in SQL and have experience with Microsoft Reporting Services and/or Tableau Prep/Tableau Desktop. SAS experience is also desirable. Knowledge of mental health services or healthcare data is preferred but not required. Candidates must have strong communication skills.
