Introduction

The City of Scottsdale's Chief Information Security Officer develops, implements and monitors a strategic, comprehensive information security program to ensure appropriate levels of confidentiality, integrity, availability, safety, privacy, and recovery of information assets owned, controlled or/and processed by the city. Manages and assesses security risk and violations with the City's computing systems, communications networks and other data processing assets. Creates, recommends, approves and implements security standards, policies, and solutions for the enterprise computing environment. Works with other IT management and staff to architect a secure computing environment plus secure network design. Oversees and directs the Enterprise Security Team staff to provide installation, configuration, maintenance and ongoing support and administration for all network security systems, including firewalls, web and email filtering, VPNs, IDS/IPS, WAF, secure file transfer, and other security solutions for all city departments including critical infrastructure such as Water/SCADA, Police Department, Crime Lab and Traffic.

Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $153,816.00/annually.
