JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMA RY:

The Elections Criminal Investigator is responsible for comprehensive investigative work to support the Elections Division of the Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder's Office under the purview of the District Attorney’s Office to achieve just outcomes, further the goals of the Elections Division and fulfill all statutory, constitutional and ethical obligations of an investigator. This is a part-time, seasonal position. Candidate must be POST certified.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Provides accurate and detailed testimony when required .
  

• Conducts comprehensive investigations of alleged or suspected criminal violations of state laws in accordance with the statutory requirements of the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
  

• Works with diverse staff and community members. Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  

• Ability to make sound decisions.
  

• Strong officer-safety skills and knowledge.
  

• Function with minimal supervision.
  

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  

COMPENSATION :

• Anticip ated Hiring Salary- $34 USD Hourly

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications :

• Colorado POST Certification
  

• 5 years’ experience in law enforcement including 3 years as a detective or investigator
  

• Associate degree in any discipline (experience may be substituted for education)
  

• Valid Colorado Driver’s License within 30 days of hire
