Salary Range:

Planner I: $54,080 to $62,700 depending on qualifications

Planner II: $60,320 to $68,970 depending on qualifications

Senior Planner: $75,920 to $91,799 depending on qualifications

The Planner II is a mid-level Planner position responsible for leading a variety of work primarily related to current development proposals, permit reviews, and long-range planning initiatives. The Planner must have the ability to facilitate in-person and virtual meetings and workshops, the ability to balance several projects or assignments simultaneously, and the ability to attend to details while keeping big-picture goals in mind. This role requires attendance at a substantial number of evening meetings. This job is part of a three level career progression of Planner I, II, and Senior Planner.

Qualifications

Experience: Two years of experience in urban planning or a related field is required. Must have a well-developed knowledge of planning principles and practices and utilize effective written and verbal communication skills.

Education: A master’s degree in urban planning or a related field is required. Additional experience may be substituted for education.

Licenses & Certifications: A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required. AICP Certification is preferred.
