Job Summary
Nature of Work:
Performs unskilled and semi-skilled manual work; i.e., construction, renovation, modification, installation, maintenance/cleaning, and repair of wastewater collection systems and or reclaimed water meters, air release valves, valves, meter assemblies and meter boxes. Perform related work incidental to these tasks. Assists Crew Chief and Environmental Specialist with routine maintenance, repair, and construction tasks. Performs preventive maintenance on various reclaimed appurtenance. Frequent exposure to chemicals, noxious fumes, raw sewage and exposure to extreme weather conditions.
Work schedule/location subject to change based on Division needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions. Some laborer experience in area assigned desired. A valid Florida Driver's License is required. Candidates are required to pass an annual respirator physical; no facial hair allowed between the face and sealing surface of the respirator face plate.
This position is located at our Water Reclamation Iron Bridge location.
