The Job This recruitment is only open to current San Bernardino County, San Bernardino County Fire Protection District, or Special District employees who hold a regular, intern, contract, extra-help, recurrent, Public Service Employee, or Work Experience Program (WEX) position. Former PSE, WEX, or interns are eligible to apply up to six (6) months from the end of their assignment.

Administrative Supervisors II to plan, organize and supervise the administrative operations of an assigned department or group providing complex and varied administrative functions. Positions will complete special studies, develop reports and recommendations, coordinate implementation of approved changes, supervise preparation of initial budgets, develop justification for budget recommendations, prepare and monitor a budget, financial, and fiscal operations, as well as oversee contracts/grant applications and RFP's. Duties may include project management in areas such as new construction, remodels, future facility planning, ongoing operations, and lease review. Summary of Benefits Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) Minimum Requirements REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Option 1 CONTRACTS/ORGANIZATIONAL EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional level administrative experience performing analytical duties as a primary job function in the areas of contracts, bid/proposal, or grant management.
Option 2
FISCAL/BUDGET EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional level administrative experience performing analytical duties as the primary job function in the areas of budget/fiscal management, financial analysis and/or accounting.
Option 3
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of full-time professional-level experience directing complex projects with primary responsibility for analyzing, interpreting, and making recommendations to management in a combination of the following areas: Budget/Financial Analysis; Requests for Proposals/Contracts; Analysis and Interpretation of Quantitative Data; Facilities Planning/Property Management; Planning; Grants Management; Organizational Analysis; or Project Management.
REQUIRED LEAD/SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE One (1) year of
full-scope supervisory experience over a support services staff .
REQUIRED EDUCATION A completed bachelor's degree in Public/Business Administration, Behavioral/Social Science, or other relevant field of study.
Qualifying degrees or coursework must be completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education. Degrees or coursework completed outside the U.S. must be accompanied with an evaluation report from a reputable credential evaluation service showing equivalency to degrees or coursework completed at a college or university accredited by any accrediting association recognized by the United States Department of Education.

Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and leadership skills who works collaboratively with other departments and agencies and have a strong background in budget and finance, contracts, grants management, compliance and monitoring. Highly qualified candidates will communicate effectively written/oral, as well as have a strong working knowledge of research methodology, statistical analytical skills, and data processing systems and programs. A Master's degree in a qualifying field is preferred.
